Lou Price's Personal Statement After retiring, I now spend some of my free time woodworking. Most of my free time is now spent with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce. I have been with CCOC for approximately 8 years. I am now the VP of the Chamber. While I was with the Chamber, I also was one of the Founders of the Columbia Community Foundation. I am still working with the Chamber to better the quality of services offered by Columbia Station. My wife has been an appraiser of residential properties in Cuyahoga, Lorain and northern Medina County for 18 years. I help with the data input, picture taking and final inspections, and managing the home office. Working with the data, I can see the community changes that occur in the community. My extensive managerial experience while working with the FAA at Cleveland and Akron/Canton Airports taught me how to identify and find ways to solve problems, and keep an organization running smoothly. In addition, my responsibilities with security at Oberlin Center gave me the insight to oversee the "big picture" as well as concentrating on the details. I feel that with my government background and the knowledge gained with the Chamber and listening to the needs of the residents makes me qualified to lead Columbia in the right direction. There are many issues on the table in our township and selecting the options that are most beneficial is the key to success. My goal for Columbia Station is to provide our township with a Community and Senior Center for the enjoyment of all residents. I want to lead Columbia Station into the future and with your help and my strong dedication to the community, Columbia will continue to be a great place to call home.
